Features & Benefits
These tires will work as summer tires if you are careful in the rain with them. They can hydroplane but the rubber compound is so sticky that they catch immediately after the puddle. I've used several sets for track days and they are ideal for that. I drive to and from the track on them, sometimes over 300 miles each way. These are about the most road-able track tires I've ever used. When the treads get worn down, they have phenomenal dry grip. Keep pressures below 38 lbs hot. They get greasy feeling at about 40 psi.
I discovered these tires for my '95 M3 track/street car. I found them to be longer lasting than other R tires I'd been using and not as loud on the highway as the Yoko semi-R tire. They're quite nice on the street if it's not raining hard. Grip is unreal when the treads start to wear down. If you want a good track day tire that you won't have to replace every couple weekends, this is it. Some guys use them for daily driving too. They'll do that for a summer, then buy new again.
